St. Vincent's Helping Hands will soon begin preparing for the annual Thanksgiving Baskets distribution. Staple items needed are: peanut butter, grape and strawberry jelly, cake mixes, canned frostings, canned sweet potatoes and yams, boxed mashed potatoes, paper towels, and tissues. Of course, cash donations are always welcome, too. If you would like to donate any of these items, please leave them in the church vestibule on the weekends, or at the Parish Center office during office hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. (Please place cash in an envelope marked SVHH.)
We will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of 2025, although the actual date has not yet been set with the Bishop. It is open to parishioners 5th grade and up. A sign-up sheet is on the table in the vestibule. Parishioners from St. Adalbert and St. Casimir will be joining us for the celebration, but will do their preparation in their own parishes. Any adults who have not been confirmed should sign up as well!
All Souls Envelopes and Book of Remembrance - November is traditionally the time when the Catholic Church remembers our beloved deceased who "have gone before us marked with the sign of faith." Envelopes at the church entrances are available to list the names of any deceased loved ones you would like to have remembered at all the Masses during November. These will be kept on the altar in church as well as in the daily Mass chapel. The Book of Remembrance is available as well. Eternal Rest, Grant Unto Them, O Lord.
